Shahr-e-Sookhteh
In early dynastic times, the Sumerian kings controlled more than 45 hectares of Shahr-e-Sookhteh. The city of Shahr-e-Sookhteh (Shahr-i-Sokhte) covers 151 hectares in east Iran near the Afghanistan border.
